Dr. Nathan L. Guerette is a board-certified urogynecologist and founder of The Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia, a practice dedicated exclusively to pelvic reconstructive surgery and female pelvic medicine. He built his career on advanced, minimally invasive techniques, including robotic and vaginal reconstructive approaches, and was the first formally trained urogynecologist in Central Virginia.

His Background

Dr. Guerette founded The Intimate Wellness Institute of Virginia in 2009 as the region's only specialized urogynecology practice. As Chief Executive Officer and Director, he oversees a practice built around pelvic reconstructive surgery and the minimally invasive methods that have reshaped how these procedures are performed, including robotic and vaginal approaches tailored to each patient's anatomy and goals.

He is triple board certified in Urogynecology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Family Medicine, and holds fellowships and certifications including F.A.C.O.G., F.A.A.F.P., and F.P.M.R.S. His training includes a fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, following residency and medical school at the State University of New York.

Before Virginia, he directed Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Pennsylvania Hospital, taught as Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and served as Associate Program Director of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Drexel/Hahnemann University College of Medicine. He has published and presented on roughly 60 topics in urogynecology to national and international audiences.
